Lil Al Capone

What can we say about Lil Al Capone except that this lil gangster has stolen our hearts? BLM {Bureau of Land Management} contacted SOS Donkey Haven and told us about a 3-4 month old jack that had been pulled and needed a home after his momma was unable to care for him in the wild.
We agreed to take him immediately and arranged for transport from the vet the next day. He joined our herd on January 15.

Lil Al came to us very underweight. Now that he doesn’t have to forage in the desert for food, he loves his endless supply of hay and special mixture of pellets. Everyday, he gets stronger and spunkier! Nadine
{Naders} is his watchdonk and does an amazing job. She makes sure he is safe and sound whenever he is in his lean-to.

Mike has become his “person” and they are bonding more every day. They have fun running around and playing together. Lil Al gives Mike a run for his money at times. It will be fun to see him grow up. As Al gets older and able to be gelded at the appropriate age, he will join the girls. For now, he gets kisses through the panels. Love has no barriers!!
